Our woodwinds teacher specializes in classical flute and emphasizes proper technique, note-reading, and theoretical fundamentals. Our winds students are encouraged to participate in school programs, such as band and orchestra, and community activities such as the Bergen Regional Orchestra; programs that are extremely beneficial for students applying for college. Private lessons will allow the students to grow immensely, furthering their potential for orchestral and band programs, as well as solo opportunities.

What ages and abilities do you teach?
We offer private lessons to students of all ages from age 4 to adults.

Our young students see the adults taking music study seriously and that creates a great learning environment. We have fun, but we also get great results. Our students range in ability from absolute beginner to professional advanced level. We’ve even helped several students prepare for major auditions.

We can teach you how to play music simply for your own enjoyment, or we can help you prepare for exam ABRSM and international competition for performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City.

What if I don’t have any experience?
No Problem! We are teaching students of all levels. our lessons are tailored to suit each person’s specific age, ability, and goals. In fact, students who are beginners often have no bad habits to overcome, so your progress can be relatively quick.

Do you offer music lessons online?
Sure, we do offer online music lessons for those students who are too far away to get to us and to reduce risk amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic or not match the make-up lessons.
How much does it cost?
Lesson fees may vary depending on each student’s age, needs, and instruments. Private lessons start at $228 per month, where the students will get one private music lesson per once a week.

Verdi Music Academy has the best trained and qualified music teachers within training from schools such as the Julliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes, NYU, Berklee College of Music, Rutgers University, Peterson University, and more.
We take great musicians, who are committed teachers and train them in the best methods and practices for teaching and learning music.
